A pretty alright introduction that sparked my interest a little bit. A few days after reading I can’t tell you what the cliffhanger even was though.

The art style is nice whenever you don’t look at the faces for too long. The slight granularity is especially fancy in the time vortex.

This one is by far one of my faourite Doctor Who comics, which is great considering that it's free. There are so many callbacks here to past stories such as The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit and Name Of The Doctor, which is extremely satisfying as a major fan of the show.

The story itself is extremely interesting, concerning Dick Turpin obtaining a Cyber-blaster in the Eighteenth Century. It's similar to the non-Who series Renegade Nell, in the way it combines the era of highwaymen and women with heightened elements from another genre (in this case, sci-fi). I really admire the decision to set this in Yorkshire, as Eighteenth Century York makes for a great setting that's rarely used in sci-fi in general.

An impressive start to a new series. I like how broad and all encompassing it is until it decides to zone in on a particular villain, who is in turn unwittingly working for a bigger villain quite unlike any that we are used to in Doctor Who. Looking forward to seeing where this goes!

With Free Comic Book Days, you shouldn't have the biggest of Expectations, with past releases some were a bit too Standard, while others impressed quite a bit. This one comfortably sits in the Middle.

The Art is fairly solid. I am not the biggest Fan of said Artstyle, yet you can tell the Likeness was captured quite well by its Artist.

The Story itself is fun and more an Introduction to the Titan Run for 15, which is a fine Way to go about it. Sadly I can't say how good it works as an Introduction Story for that run, but on its own so far: Yeah it's very solid!

The cool thing about Doctor Who being fictional is that I can choose to picture Dick Turpin as being played by Mathew Baynton and nobody can stop me. Look, I just made him and the Doctor have a little kith.

Mwah.

Yes. Yes, good. Again.

Mwaahh. Mmmm... *Giggle* Mwah.

The power of imagination is limitless and your favourite characters are but playthings to me.

RUBY: It’s awful. Can’t we do something?

DOCTOR: I’m sorry. This is the day Dick Turpin pays for his crimes, Ruby. We can’t interfere with history. Literally. Whatever we do, it’ll still happen.
