This is part of a series of reviews of Doctor Who in chronological timeline order.

Previous Story: The False Guardian

I think this story is only slightly better than The False Guardian, it has few more things going for it but it struggles with the same issues as the last. What little story was set up in the last one was practically forgotten about here in favour of boring action sequences. I will say, I prefer my villains overacted so in that regard this was fairly enjoyable.

The Doctor doesn't really do much and therefore is left quite flat and boring and there was very little extra characterisation for Ann, except for one line where she reveals that she is a sleeper agent. I already knew about this twist and even if I hadn't I dont think it would have shocked me.
