I don't feel the weight that comes with the concept of the War Doctor. Aside from the setting of war, there is like one scene that showcases the Doctor that does what has to be done, no matter how grim it is, and even there it's pillowed up by literally everyone around him. If I only listened to this, without the context of the War Doctor from the show, I wouldn't understand why he doesn't like being called the Doctor. The B-plot with Time Lord agents is a waste of time. I really like the central idea of it though. The dialogue doesn't allow for greatness this concept provides, but there is definitely something there. I like that it mirrors DW Series 1, but don't like how it does this. This could've and should've been much stronger. 3/5 Like Liked 0 Open in new window Statistics AVG. Rating78 members 3.59 / 5 The Time Scales AVG.
