Synopsis

London, in the summer heatwave of 1930. The Doctor is visiting with Romana and K9 in order to return some library books, but traces of time pollution may change his plans.

A seaside hut holds a strange secret. A biscuit millionaire is hiring assassins. Deadly butlers and solicitors stalk the streets.

There is an odd smell in the air. And it might just mean the death of everyone on the planet.

Previous Story: The Romance of Crime (Audio Adaptation)

I haven't read the original novel, so I can't rate this as an adaptation, therefore this is a rating of the story as it is presented in this audio. That aside, this was an improvement, but still not something I personally enjoyed. I'm not particularly sure why as there's nothing objectively wrong with this story, I guess it just didn't click with me.

I did like a few bits, John Leeson acting out a posessed K9 was fun and there were some fairly high stakes. It suffered from the same issue with the last one, that it was hard to follow (in my opinion). I'm going to have to track down the novels and see if I prefer them.
