Sadly I was disappointed in this return trip to Peladon. The Doctor and Mel arrive far in the future of previous installments, with even Erimem's reign seeming to be ancient history. Unfortunately...most of what we get is the squeaky voice of Alpha Centauri and one of the most instantly hateable characters of all time in her daughter, the Princess Isabelda. She obviously has to be the bad guy, because you just are hating her from the jump. The political intrigue just feels all a bit obvious this go around. Here's hoping the finale is an improvement.
