I adore how terrible the Zygons are at impersonation. None of them come across as human they're stilted and unsettling, it really adds to the horror factor of the serial. Props to harry for leaving the moment he is physically able to, proving himself to be the smartest companion of the doctor. Minus a star for the bagpipes, there's nothing wrong with their inclusion in the story I just really hate bagpipes

Solid UNIT story all things considered! I loved how squelchy the Zygon ship was, I truly have a fondness for spaceships that are full on just Fleshy. Apparently though nobody can write a Zygon story without it being weird politically - oh so there's a ship full of what are explicitly stated to be refugees and they can look just like you (bad thing! can't see them coming!) and they want to turn this place into a replica of their home? Is that the message we're going for here?

A great start to season 13. Possibly my favourite from the season. Having the unit regulars is always welcome. The Zygons are a really good alien species, it's surprising they aren't used again until the 50th anniversary. Despite the visuals of the Loch Ness monster, it was a fun idea to use it as another threat.

Great episode. The costumes and story were even better than usual in this one I think, the Zygons are terrifying and their plan is pretty diabolical.

I guess if I had one criticism of this episode it's that they could have used the shape shifting more, it kinda stops being relevant the longer the story goes on. Then again I went in already knowing what a Zygon is so maybe that's unfair

A really fun serial and introduction to the Zygons. A lot of fun back-and-forth scheming between the two sides. I really like the transformation effect between human and Zygon.
