This is part of a series of reviews of Doctor Who in chronological timeline order. Previous Story: The Brood of Erys This story is obnoxiously boring. It could have easily done without half the runtime. Most of it is just Flip sitting in some sentient spaceship called scavenger while it flies all around the planet and it's atmosphere while the Doctor is trapped in a space station trying to get to her. It doesn't help he's accompanied by one of the most insufferable characters I've had to listen to in a while (and I listened to a Sil story yesterday!!) in the form of Jessica Allaway, a walking talking caricature. She's so blatantly evil and yet the Doctor never does anything about her and it's really frustrating. I did like the one scene at the end, where Flip is monologuing in space. That was a really sweet moment and I thought both Lisa Greenwood's and Colin Baker's performances were great there. It was a bit of an odd cliffhanger to leave the story on but I'm sure that will all be explained. Next Story: The Widow's Assassin Like Liked 0 Open in new window Statistics AVG.
