I have no awareness of Star Trek whatsoever, but it was fun to see Doctor Who collide with a totally different and well established universe. It was quite obvious to me that the writers of the second half of the story are more familiar with Star Trek than Doctor Who but it was funny to read The Doctor talking in a different way than usual, Cybermen with a concept of money and Mr and Mrs “Williams”. My major complaint is how much dialogue there is. Most of the story is characters standing around explaining the plot to each other. All telling and no showing. But there is a charm to seeing the Cybermen overtaking the Borg and Data taking on energy from the TARDIS. It’s just a bit of wholesome good fun. 15thDoctor View profile Like Liked 0 26 January 2025 · 166 words Review by AJwaderz 1 I really like Star Trek, and Doctor Who too (guess how.), so how couldn't I resist a crossover starring the main cast of two of the most well known Trek shows, plus with two of my favourite Doctors? It's a decent crossover, my only nitpick is that the dialogue just tends to fill up the page! Like, am I reading a novel or a comic? Maybe it could work if they did it in an audio/animated form (kinda like how they did with Shada or Real Time), probably from Big Finish, but I wouldn't expect them to be able to get Patrick Stewart, Leonard Nimoy, Matt Smith, and Tom Baker to appear in one story! Overall, again, decent story, and it's definitely leagues better than the one they did recently (specifically Friendship is Universal. I don't wanna go on a rant about it, but pretty much the main crossover was an event from the crappy tycoon game and an amv). AJwaderz View profile Like Liked 1 Open in new window Statistics AVG.
