It's got one of those eye-rolling villains who just sucks for no reason & it's never clear why anyone goes along with it when he starts hitlering at the mouth. The leisure facility setting has no bearing on anything beyond teeing up a pun on the word "recreation", & once the plot starts moving it may as well be any other generic Doctor Who space base. 2 stars = bad but I didn't completely hate it sleepey View profile Like Liked 0 16 April 2025 · 58 words Classic Who S17 • Serial 5 · (4 episodes)The Horns of Nimon sleepey Review of The Horns of Nimon by sleepey 16 April 2025 I think there's a solid story in here somewhere with an interesting concept for a villain, but you have to ignore the rubbish-looking monster tottering around the place like a giant baby. I'm actually curious to see if it works any better in the novelisation. Soldeed's legendary performance elevates this a full star but it's otherwise just ok. sleepey View profile Like Liked 0 16 April 2025 · 47 words Target CollectionDoctor Who: Wild Blue Yonder sleepey 1 Review of Doctor Who: Wild Blue Yonder by sleepey 16 April 2025 Doesn't do much to separate itself from the TV version, I would have liked some more "in-head" moments & maybe less of a shot-for-shot retelling. But still, it's a story I liked, & it was nice to revisit in a slightly different format. Quick read, low friction. sleepey View profile Like Liked 1 Sorting, filtering, and pagination, coming soon!
