i find it pretty amusing that the first of the unbound series could pretty much be considered canon depending on how you wanna stretch it, considering the whole point is to explore what-if scenarios

theres something very cursed but also very amusing about how iris wildthyme NEEDS to drink in this story so she and the doctor can save the day

first two acts were good, but i feel like it kinda fell apart with wrapping everything up. real shame, because its such a cool concept, and a gorgeous setting. oh well

zagreus is ridiculously high concept, full of fan service, and is a very pretentious length. and god, i absolutely adore it

excellent psychological probing, both into the mind of a fascist leader, but also into the minds of apologists. im reminded of people who attempt to rehabilitate the third reich, saying "yeah but they did good things too, and they were very smart!" and its like. even assuming thats true, thats not the point is it. great audio

this can be pretty confusing at times, but i think its worth it. i am still a bit mystified about a few things though, like. who was the doctor at the start, was that the real one or omega? it does my head in a bit

i think the worst part about this story is how a weird time travelling paradox like this is a really cool idea, and a lot of the execution is pretty good. but god, we do not need the bizarre "fascism and diversity targets are just as bad" thing. its trumps wet dream
