I can’t lie I kept giggling at the Brax namedrops 😭😭 like he’s ON her mind

‘Hey Leo! What the HELL did you think you were doing drugging me like that! You don’t get to tell me how to live my life. Don’t you DARE turn into another Irving braxiatel.’

'I would do anything to see a familiar face. Peter, Adrian, Bev, God even Brax and I hate him.’

And this line… ‘All the times I’ve been close to death, I always thought that it would be Braxiatel who finally pulls the trigger.’

Like lowkey, Brax did murder-suicide himself and repeated that for an eternity in Something Changed for a reality where Benny would remain alive and smiling. Benny dying is literally a nightmare scenario for Brax. But also he would never tell her about how much he cared, and after everything even if Benny knew that Brax cared its still too painful to acknowledge… Love when the memory of a former friendship turns into a fishbone stuck in your throat!

The Dominicci siblings kind of reminded me of … Ruth in her past life… and the way she faced them and outsmarted them both, I’m so proud of her!!!!

The whole Benny and Ruth pretending to be nuns bit is really funny… I can’t lie I laughed a lot listening to this ep 😭😇

I enjoyed the character writing of this episode!! The sound design also added a lot to the atmosphere (which reminded me a lot of Girls’ Last Tour)…

Also love how this story is basically an elaboration of Kubla Khan the poem with some additional elements from The Fly (1986)? 

Really enjoyed the interrogation/questioning back and forth between Benny & friends and ‘Poseidon’ amidst their ever shifting memory-scape! Not a huge fan of the Benny/Leonidas romance subplot but I’ll see where that goes

I’m sorry but making Brax a dragon is like the most low hanging fruit comparison ever. Also why did pre-dragon!Brax kill Leela??? If Narvin and Romana haven’t been able to deal with the threat of dragon!Brax before, what makes them think sending Narvin ALONE (with a chained up Brax that they didn’t know if they can trust yet, who is pretty much straight up a liability) would change anything? 

The plot holes are just a bit too much for me to enjoy this episode and also I feel it wasted what could potentially be a really fun premise…I did like the part where brax reminisces about feeling rain though, and there were a couple of good character moments here and there but overall 2/10.

I think they were trying to parallel the three main characters (Matka - the aggressive parent fighting for her children’s survival/ Benny - the lost parent who is unsure of her child’s fate/ Otek - the inert parent who cut off his child with the assumption that she had changed beyond his recognition) to the ‘matter/ nothing/ anti-matter’ concepts, with Benny realizing in the end that to NOT be ‘nothing’ she needs to find Peter again, but I don’t think it’s particularly well executed nor do I agree that Benny is ‘nothing’ without her child…

I also think the whole premise of Otek not being able to remove his finger from the switch is just a bit silly.

Benny doing actual archeology and deducting everything about a world from a soda can!! Really solid episode to start off a new era for Benny after Escaping the Future.

Bafflingly out of character for Brax, weak plot and even weaker dialogue, overall my least favorite Benny audio ever to be honest... expected better from Brax's voice actor but oh well
