ELDANE: We lived on the surface of the planet long before you did. Our sole purpose has been to return to our rightful place.
NASREEN: And we've got a planet that can't already sustain the people who live there. And you want to add a whole other species to drain resources
ELDANE [OC]: As I sat there that day across the table from the humans, the future of both species and of our beloved planet Earth rested in our hands. But as the discussions went on, I began to despair about whether we would ever find any common ground. As ambassadors for our species we all had too much to lose.
AMY: So, what about the areas that aren't habitable to us? Australian outback, Sahara desert, Nevada plains. They're all deserted.
NASREEN: Yes, fine, but what happens when their population grows and breeds and spreads? And anyway, what benefit does humanity get, and how will we ever sell this to people on the surface?
ELDANE: If I could get a word in, maybe I could tell you. You give us space, we can bring new sources of energy, new methods of water supply, new medicines, scientific advances. We were a great civilisation. You provide a place for us on the surface, we'll give you knowledge and technology beyond humanity's dreams. If we work together, this planet could achieve greatness.
NASREEN: Okay. Now I'm starting to see it.

CLARA: I'm the Doctor.
DOCTOR: Don't you dare.
CLARA [OC]: Doctor Oswald.
CLARA: But you can call me Clara.
RIGSY: I'm Rigsy. So er, what are you a doctor of?
DOCTOR: Of lies.
CLARA [OC]: Well, I'm usually quite vague about that. I think I just picked the title because it makes me sound important.
— Flatline
BORS: What is it you dread?
DOCTOR: Why would I dread anything?
BORS: You're always making jokes. You never sit still, like you're running in fear of days to come.
DOCTOR: I thought you were an idiot.
BORS: I know. I thought that too.
DOCTOR: Good. I was worried I would have to break it to you

JAC: It's an odd world nowadays, isn't it?
CLARA: It's always been an odd world.
JAC: Mmm. I mean, doesn't it feel, sometimes, that things are coming to an end? Everything's just going nuts.
CLARA: You're middle-aged, that's what it is. No offence. Everybody middle-aged always thinks the world's about to come to an end. Hmm. Never does. It's here. Oh, my God.
— The Zygon Invasion
CLARA-Z: There you are.
DOCTOR: Clara, I'm glad you're okay. Listen.
CLARA-Z: You're breaking up.
DOCTOR: The invasion has happened. You're probably surrounded by Zygons. Get to the Tardis, get yourself safe. And apparently my plane is never going to land, but let's see what we're going to do about that.
CLARA-Z: I'm sorry, but Clara's dead. Kate Stewart is dead. The UNIT troops are all dead. Truth or consequences.
DOCTOR: Clara!
KATE: Don't you dare point a gun at her! You were right, Conrad, I didn't remember you. So I checked my notes from that interview eight years ago, and do you know what I wrote?
SHIRLEY: I’d throw in a compliment
KATE: The three words that summed you up? "Don't trust him."
CONRAD: Mm. You think you're so superior. Up in your tower, looking down on us.
KATE: Keeping you safe
CONRAD: I want a confession. On camera. Admit to the lies. Show us the monster costumes. Show us the tech that you’re hiding, that we’ve paid for.
KATE: You’re deluded
CONRAD: The grown ups are talking. Come on, Commander-in-chief. Admit. Or are you a coward, like your father was?
KATE: You should be very careful what you say about my father
CONRAD: His only legacy was a pack of lies.
KATE: He was 100 times the man you are. And that gun is UNIT issue. So where's Jordan Lang?
CONRAD: Who?
IBRAHIM: He's been shot. Ground team are rushing him to the infirmary.
KATE: You shot someone to get in here?
CONRAD: It's nothing to do with me.
KATE: A man's life is hanging in the balance and you're not even sorry.
CONRAD: Maybe you shot him. Or he was an actor. Or he never existed. So come on. Confess! All right. Let's start with your best friend. Where is the Doctor and his box of tricks?
RUBY: Oh, you're so lucky he's not here.
KATE: She's telling the truth. And, actually, I'm glad he's not here. Because he would've stopped me.
CONRAD: Oh. From what?
KATE: From showing you and your followers what we're protecting them from. The truth, Conrad. As requested.

DOCTOR: When I tell you to stop... you really should stop, babes.
KID: Or what?
DOCTOR: Or you'll regret it. Because I have met so many versions of you, Kid. And revenge is just an excuse. Because your cold, filthy heart just likes to kill.
KID: Well, Doctor. If you insist.
KID: What?
GARY: Lost him. They know it's a fake.
DOCTOR: Hiya.
KID: Don't move.
DOCTOR: What? In case I do this?
KID: No! Big mistake. Ah!
DOCTOR: See, the thing about holograms is... they're kinda soft. And they fizz and they crackle and they're kind of no use. Unless you're me, and you convert them into hard light. In which case.... a hologram can hurt.
DOCTOR: How many people did you want to kill? Three trillion? How about we try this three trillion times, hmm?
SUSAN (OC): Stop.
SUSAN (OC): Grandfather.
BELINDA: No.
DOCTOR: Bel.
