Review of The Sirens of Time by Dullish

5 July 2025

The Sirens of time

The first audio drama, pretty good for a first attempt at something. So much better than entries I reviewed previously, Nekromanteia and Scaredy Cat.

Review of Scream of the Shalka by Dullish

4 July 2025

Scream of the Shalka

This is the first of many reviews suggested by other people. Nardole suggested I review this one.

Peak fiction to be honest, one of 3 times Richard E Grant gets to be the doctor, the others being Curse of the fatal death and Withnail and I.

I have nothing to really say about this. Watch it if you can find it.

Review of Nekromanteia by Dullish

4 July 2025

Nekromanteia

No! No! No! How the f**k did this get produced?

I'm glad this was on Spotify, I sure as hell wouldn't pay for this s**t. This surpasses scaredy cat as the worst audio I've heard.

How can someone write the most boring and physically terrible audio at the same time?

I don't think I even want to explain the plot, don't listen to this.

Review of Vampire Weekend by Dullish

3 July 2025

This review contains spoilers!

Vampire Weekend

We're so back, after 3 long painful years peak is back.

The day I've had, waiting in agony at work to be able to listen to this masterpiece.

Yaz had friends? Whoa, Chibnall never told us that and in true companion fashion, they didn't know where Yaz was at all.

As one Amy Pond once said, They're not vampires they're aliens. Massive vampire lore. Chickens are the mortal enemies of vampires. The Vampire Timelord wars, is that going to be new Big Finish range?

The Doctor apparently speaks and understands Chickens. Poor Barbera, they won't be forgotten.

If I was to compare it to Jodie's episodes, I'd say Kerblam!, Village of the Angels, Nikola Tesla's Night of Terror and Power of The Doctor are better.

Flux reviews coming soon.

Review of The Reality War by Dullish

31 May 2025

This review contains spoilers!

The reality war

Sack Russell T Davies

This episode is f**king dreadful, how the actual f**k did RTD fumble the bag this f**king hard. Somehow in 20 years he hasn't made a good finale except parting of the ways.

Bringing the best doctor back doesn't make me hate this episode any less. At least 13Yaz is a real thing now I guess.

Why is Billie back as 16, why RTD WHY!? Listen to Eccelston, get sacked.

This somehow makes End of Time look good, my least favorite episode of all f**king time.

Review of Where’s the Doctor? by Dullish

20 April 2025

This review contains spoilers!

Where's the Doctor?

One of the few times we see all 13 in one place. Even Eight shows up to the function. They all go to Elizabeth II's coronation doing 12 different side quests.

An assassin is sent to kill thirteen, which is odd as it would be easier to kill the First Doctor.

Thirteen accidentally causes 2 deaths and arrests the Assassin.

Review of Dr. Thirteenth by Dullish

Dr. Thirteenth

Didn't think I'd need to read Mr men to get 100% completion, but here I am reading a children's book where thirteen gives Yaz a birthday.

Review of An Unearthly Woman by Dullish

7 April 2025

This review contains spoilers!

Unearthly Woman

This directly ties to unearthly child, Ian and Barbera both appear as river is teaching geography at coal Hill for some reason.

Susan sounds too young despite the fact this takes place in 1963. River casually hints at Ian and barbera's futures as the 3 of them do detective work about 2 mistreated foster children, Lloyd and shella. The first doctor makes a brief cameo.A Nightstalker is also present, taking Shella's body to survive the day, only killing people in the night. They desire to kill the doctor in his younger vulnerable state in the junkyard. Ultimately Susan helps River to repel the Nightstalker into another dimension.

River's last act is to refence the future events of Ian Barbera and Susan. Susan says an obligatory doctor who. The first Doctor doesn't put up with River's nonsense.

Review of Quinnis by Dullish

7 April 2025

This review contains spoilers!

Quinnis

I know I said scaredy cat was the worst audio I've ever heard but this was definitely the weirdest audio I've heard so far. I really want to see the recording process for this one.

Bridge town on the planet Quinnis in 4th universe, has had no rain for 2 years and suffers from "bad luck" haunted by a bird girl who feasts on misery.

This episode directly ties to the original show as they land at the junkyard in 1963.

Review of Can You Hear Me? by Dullish

6 April 2025

This review contains spoilers!

Can you hear me?

A lot of stuff happens in this one, a girl in 1380 is being attacked by nightmare creatures, there's a creepy villain and a woman in the future trapped in an impossible prison.

The Doctor and "the fam" must confront their fears to save the day.

Review of Revolution of the Daleks by Dullish

6 April 2025

This review contains spoilers!

Revolution of the Daleks

Too much happens in this episode, it's still a good episode though.

Thirteen is in jail after what happened in Timeless children the previous year. We see some cool monsters from the past like a silence. Jail doesn't last long as Captain Jack just breaks her out.

"The fam" are on there own, the TARDIS they stole, disguised as a house is where Yaz is spending her time after Thirteen was arrested.

Daleks are being produced by the dozen as Defence drones to protect Britain. This fails because they're daleks and want to kill the human race. Pure daleks appear and the guy from Arachnids in the UK wants to help them for some reason.

"The fam" breaks up, Ryan and Graham leave Yaz and the Doctor leave at the end  to have real lives.

Review of Ascension of the Cybermen by Dullish

6 April 2025

This review contains spoilers!

Ascension of the Cybermen

Great penultimate episode leading into the finale. "The Fam" and the Doctor are split up without the TARDIS, being hunted by Ashad amist the cyberwar.

This episode is running from set piece to set piece while being attacked by cybermen. They need to locate the boundary, which leads to the ruins of Gallifrey where the SpyMaster resides.

Review of The Haunting of Villa Diodati by Dullish

6 April 2025

This review contains spoilers!

Haunting of Villa Diodati

Another long title from Chibnall, this episode is what Captain Jack tried to warn Thirteen about 2 episodes ago.

Thirteen and "the fam" meet Mary Shelly on the night she writes Frankenstein, which is also the night Eight meets her, when he directly influences the story.

Percy Shelly is missing and a Lone Cyberman walks the halls. This is the first appearance of Ashad a half converted Cyberman. Supernatural occurrences are happening at Villa Diodati, "The Fam" must do something.

Review of Fugitive of the Judoon by Dullish

6 April 2025

This review contains spoilers!

Fugitive of the Judoon

This is another great episode. The Doctor is under arrest but not our doctor, a Doctor from before her memories start. This is the first appearance of The Fugitive Doctor, a Doctor before The First Doctor. Fugitive uses a gun, very unDoctor like.

This seems to be setting something up for later like Ghost monument and Spyfall part 2. Captain Jack literally appears to Thirteen about "The Lone Cyberman"

Review of Orphan 55 by Dullish

6 April 2025

This review contains spoilers!

Orphan 55

This episode is definitely overhated, I don't know why.

I don't have much to say about this one, it's a space resort built on planet Earth way in the future after some catastrophic event.

Review of Resolution by Dullish

6 April 2025

This review contains spoilers!

Resolution

No more Christmas specials, this is a new years episode.

A lone dalek invades Earth in the past and is defeated beings buried in 3 parts across the globe until the part in England is found and it is reformed.

Two plots, Ryan's dad returns and gives Ryan and Graham character progression. While that happens a dalek is being built out of scraps, it's obviously defeated. We also discover UNIT doesn't exist anymore, because the government sucks and didn't provide enough funds which makes sense seeing as many UNIT HQs have been destroyed.

Review of The Witchfinders by Dullish

6 April 2025

This review contains spoilers!

Witchfinders

It's an episode, I doesn't compare to last episode. Kerblam! Is just that good. Still it's a pretty good episode.

There's witches but actually no, the main with Hunter is possessed by the Morrax queen (which looks very gross) because she chopped a singular tree stood on a hill down. King James is also in this story, telling many lies.

Review of Demons of the Punjab by Dullish

6 April 2025

This review contains spoilers!

Demons of the Punjab

Other great episode. This Time we learn more about Yaz's history and how it's better to live with what you know rather than pry information out of the past.

Another historical episode from Chibnall this season, at least this one is more accurate. The partition of India and Pakistan but also some alien assassins that don't actually kill anyone. In the end Yaz learns it's better not knowing her families past.

Review of The Ghost Monument by Dullish

6 April 2025

This review contains spoilers!

Ghost Monument

Great episode. The doctor and "the fam" accidentally come across a space race, not the space race a race that's in space.

Graham tries to bond with Ryan to no avail, this will happen a lot. A talking rag sets up the series 12 Finale for some reason, The Doctor forgets their gender and finds the TARDIS is the ghost monument

Review of The Woman Who Fell to Earth by Dullish

6 April 2025

This review contains spoilers!

The woman who fell to Earth

This is a long title, this happens quite a few times.

Jodie's first episode and it's great, we meet the fam which is a terrible name, Thirteen makes a sonic out of Sheffield steel spoons, proving The Doctor's love of spoons. Tim shaw is semi-Defeated, banished somewhere and Grace is killed so Graham can have a character trait.
