The opening and closing segments here really highlight how much we lost out because of Colin Baker's firing. With great writing and a much better costume, his Sixth Doctor is incredible, and his relationship with Peri is so much more enjoyable. It feels like an extension of where they were in Season 23. The story itself is excellent, and truly ahead of its time. As Peri alludes to in the closing scene, we don't feel a million miles away from the society depicted here in the 21st century, which is a little unnerving.
