It’s fun to see Sarah Jane back for a story, and I really enjoyed the down-to-earth scenes on the train with the Seventh Doctor and Sarah Jane traveling to London. However, the transition into the main plot—featuring microscopic ants, shrink rays, and London transport traps in a mini-dimension—feels clunky and not particularly elegant. The shift away from the grounded tone of the opening makes the rest of the story less enjoyable. The ant villains aren’t very compelling, and the resolution is extremely abrupt, even by Doctor Who standards. Given the space available, it’s disappointing that more wasn’t done with the ending. Still, the unusual pairing of the Doctor and companion is a highlight. Like Liked 0 Open in new window Statistics AVG.
