Synopsis

Edinburgh, 1850. The Doctor and Josie Day visit a mysterious magic show, one which is replacing audience members with 'Silvered' duplicates, mirror dimension reflections who jealously watch their real-world counterparts! With the deadly doppelgängers causing chaos, can the Doctor and Josie escape the magician's grasp and avoid being Silvered themselves?

This is easily the Highlight of the whole Miniseries. While I wasn't massive on the Art with the previous ones, this one has some of the most stunning and creative Drawings that I've seen here. It's wonderful!

The Dialogue here is especially is just wonderful all around! And while it does have some "cliche" Things to it at first glance, it does a lot with them to make them interesting.

Honestly I can sing only praises for this one. Creative and I start to really get a Feeling of this Duo we have here. What a Story!

JUST A GORGEOUS ISSUE!

Sorry for the capslock, but I really love this issue! Although it seems to be the Victorian era again, evil doppelgangers from the mirror dimension again, we've seen it all a bunch of times in a bunch of media and even in the Doctor, more than once. But how beautifully it's all presented! What a charismatic villain, what a sweetheart the Eighth Sun is when he enjoys a magic show with tricks, what a slaying Josie in a Victorian dress with her dyed hair and piercings.

I simply advise everyone to read it (as well as the entire collection, actually!).

this was created in 2016 which makes the fact that it's such a clear-eyed indictment of so-called AI 'art' almost spooky in its prescience

the best doctor who comic i've ever read. absolutely luscious art style and genuinely unnerving body horror, some banger dialogue too. wish it was longer
