This is part of a series of reviews of Doctor Who in chronological timeline order. Previous Story: Masters of Earth After two really solid stories this is actually quite disappointing. Especially as this is Big Finish's first (and penultimate) Rani story I really hoped it'd be better. None of that is down to Siobhan Redmond though who's absolutely fantastic as the Rani. This is another story in which Peri is mind-controlled/posessed for a good majority of it, it's annoying that they keep doing this because 6 and Peri's dynamic is really good and I wanna see them explore it more since this is after Peri's stint as warrior queen. Overall, it's a bit of a waste of two hours but maybe other people might like it more than I did. I'm holding out hope for Planet of the Rani.
