"The Syndicate Master Plan", parts 7-8.

Here it is. The finale.
And, as you can see, who wrote this, and it's clear that the season ended with a BANG.
You know, I was worried that I wouldn’t understand anything, as I rushed through this season in a week, and as for reading the novelisation of "The Remote Plan", I couldn’t get past three pages.
But you know... everything was clear. It’s necessary for the full picture, but what I heard, I really enjoyed.
K9 gets to join in a shootout and poke fun at other, more primitive robots, and Anne really comes into her own, as her storyline is very interesting. Actually, she's no longer Anne Kelso, she’s... Anya Kingdom!
And her farewell to the Doctor was very touching.
I adore Anya.
The plot was also very intriguing, where the eponymous Syndicate finally appeared, and I liked how they were portrayed - they still plot against each other and throw spanners in the works despite sharing a common plan. They don’t trust each other at all, and because of that, they get their comeuppance.

This season was fabulous. I can't wait to continue and start the next arc, but before that, I have to listen to another play.
I’ll finish "The Remote Plan" some other time.
Also, I liked this season so much that after what's next on my list, I intend to binge-watch another two seasons of the Fourth. Yes, I have Tom Baker on the brain, and I'm not planning on curing it.

This review contains spoilers!

This is part of a series of reviews of Doctor Who in chronological timeline order.

Previous Story: Fever Island

And now, the beginning of the conclusion to Series 8 of the Fourth Doctor Adventures and wow, that was pretty good. It's a real shame the rest of the series couldn't live up to this quality.

The story starts you off right in the middle of action, if this was any other stories in this series I would be complaining because the action so far has been nonsensical and annoying, however, this story's action is fairly good and luckily it doesn't dwell on it too long either way. Pieces of who Ann Kelso actually is are slowly revealed throughout the story and while I did already know the twist it was still very strong. Jane Slavin's performance as she switches from Ann Kelso to Anya Kingdom is ridiculously good and almost makes up for the character's lack of development throughout the series.

This is a story that definitely warrants a rewatch of The Daleks' Master Plan, It's laden with references that I only half get because I definitely zoned out a few times during the telesnaps, so when I do recognise something it's very fun. Overall I think it's a fun sequel to The Daleks' Master Plan so far.

DOCTOR: Did you see their arms, K9? Like Swiss Army knives. If they don’t have cutting equipment in there, I’m a monkey’s uncle.

K9: Query. How would their precise equipment array cause you to be related to a primate?

DOCTOR: I don’t know, marriage, maybe.
