Previous Story: Maelstrom

It has all the makings of a great story, and then it just isn't. You have this potentially really interesting conflict of the Doctor being "brainwashed" that's resolved really simply. The ending is just unsatisfying, there wasn't any moment of confrontation between the Doctor or the aliens or anything. It's such a nothing story.

It seems like it should be a good opportunity for us to learn more about Hebe given this story is about one of her supposed "best friends" but they hardly act like it. Even after the brainwashing is removed her friend doesn't really act in any considerably different way. Maybe I missed something but it really doesn't seem like this story has all that much going on.
