This is part of a series of reviews of Doctor Who in chronological timeline order. Previous Story: Peri and the Piscon Paradox This is the second 6th Doctor audio I've listened to that features a random companion showing up only for them to turn out to be evil. Like that other story, which I won't name to avoid spoilers, it drops this companion straight into an adventure and pretends like they've been there for ages. Then it pulls the twist of [insert companion] was actually an evil alien tagging along with the Doctor this whole time as if we're supposed to care about some random that appeared about an hour ago. It also doesn't help that the story is atrociously boring, it's really generic Doctor Who fare full of stupid alien names and meaningless technobabble. I sort of zoned out in the middle because of how dull it was and when I started paying attention again somehow we'd made it to universe ending stakes? Overall, not a story I care for at all. It could have been salvaged if we actually got to know this new companion but as it stands I've already forgotten their name and it's only been 10 minutes since I finished it.
