And so the Winter saga from James Goss is underway! This story introduces us to Diana Winter and the overall mystery, a card that Diana Winter found with her mother that can summon the Doctor at any point from throughout time and space. At the beginning of the story, young Diana uses it in order to summon the Doctor because her cat is missing. There they discover the alien Golhearn suffering from the 'madness' that makes them feral. The Doctor saves the day, but is called back forty years later to his annoyance. The Golhearn are worse than ever, and their madness is tearing the colony apart. It's well-narrated by Claire Higgins, and has an enjoyable plot twist where the Golhearn's 'God' is an ejected toner cartridge expelling radiation. Still, the mystery of the cards remains. A good way to spend 75 minutes, and the Doctor and Clara felt true to themselves. Interested to see where this goes. Guardax View profile Like Liked 0 Open in new window Statistics AVG.
