Here's a fun and relaxed filler, its story has a pirate theme rarely used in the series where the Doctor and his companions (Ace and Hex) have a seventeenth-century ship as their next destination. There, they encounter an inexperienced and superstitious captain who, despite this, has the total respect of his crew. I must warn you not to expect an incredible, brilliant, or unique plot like "The Flying Dutchman"; you will be faced with a very light, time-passing filler involving a pirate crew threatened by an old sea legend. My highlights are the comic touches, the character "Archie/Ana", and Ace (who is great in this audio) - she beats up the crew and bravely takes part in a sword fight LOL.

Previous Story: The Veiled Leopard

For a story called The Flying Dutchman it's a bit disappointing that there's no real Flying Dutchman in this one. I just think so much more can be done with the concept than a bog-standard story revolving around a pirate mutiny with the big reveal that the titular Dutchman is just another ship painted glow-in-the-dark. It's honestly quite annoying actually, makes the whole thing feel like a waste of time.

There were a few odd little good bits like Ace getting to sword fight but it's not great otherwise.
