Previous Story: Power Play

And finally, I'm done with the 6th Doctor Lost Stories. I've not been a fan of them but I'm glad that they end on a good note. This is a story full of action, betrayal, plot twists. It's intense, but not in an excessively violent way like most of Season 22. I'm actually quite surprised at how lore-heavy this is, I didn't expect to learn the origins of the Sontarans from an audio story adapted from an unmade script.

I really love how modern this story feels though, you can tell Big Finish have figured out how to make stories both authentic and enjoyable. It's refreshing to have a Sontaran story actually feature the Rutans aswell, they're usually only hinted at in Sontaran stories and vice versa in Rutan stories.

I don't have too much to say about the plot, it's not anything particularly special but it's made good by just how thrilling it is, especially in the last two parts. The performances here are great as usual, Dan Starkey is the definitive voice of the Sontarans for me. Overall, it's just a solid entry in The Lost Stories and I definitely recommend it to anyone who likes the Sontarans.
