This is part of a series where you can follow me on my journey across time and space (more commonly known as Big Finish Productions)

You can find the original posts here: https://forum.tardis.guide/t/oh-no-big-finish-addiction/4799?u=the9thcyberlegion

I want to start off this review by saying that the Solvers should return and that they’re amazing. Big Finish, if you’re listening, please bring them back. Anyway, enough with praying to our Big Finish Overlords wink wink Nick Briggs.

This two-parter with The Eighth Piece is an amazing mid-point for this boxset. This one is a timey-wimey historical. Basically, the Doctor (Paul McGann), Liv Chenka (Nicola Walker) and Helen Sinclair (Hattie Morahan) go back in time to look for the Doomsday Chronometer’s pieces to stop the Doom Coalition from ending the world. Also, River Song and clockwork-puzzle-box-people called Solvers are here which makes this boxset even better. I think that the Clocksmith (Nicholas Woodeson) and Osm/The Eight (Tim McMullian) perform their parts perfectly and add amazingly to this story.

This two-parter is amazing in my opinion and only adds to this incredible boxset in the Doom Coalition series.

The Eighth Piece - (8/10)
The Doomsday Chronometer - (9/10)
