Wouldn't it be funny if people in Doctor Who were FAT. Any time they had to run we could hear in great detail about their shortness of breath. Getting a hug could be described as being enveloped by a sofa. The moment danger passes, they could turn their focus to doughnuts and chocolate cake. The villain's plan could be to give people liposuction. Oh, surely that would be great.

The very start, and bits of the last episode, are really good. It's great to hear Lalla Ward again. But everything else left me feeling really uncomfortable.

A story featuring a weirdly characterised Romana who has an underlying distaste of fat people apparently. Welcome back Jonny Morris.

This is part of a series of reviews of Doctor Who in chronological timeline order.

Previous Story: Nightmare of Eden

A basic story but still fairly fun, this is from the early days of the companion chronicles so the framing is quite basic. The resort is an interesting location and there's a very strong message of accepting who you are and not trying to look good based on other people's standards.

Still though, it's a solid story, I'm just used to the later companion chronicles where they play around with the format and so this one bored me a little.

Next Story: The Horns of Nimon
