This starts out as an outstanding story and peaks at the point at which the humans of London start mutating en masse, but as a reader you suspect there is a pretty perfunctory reset coming, which is indeed what you get. Despite this it captures the First Doctor and Susan perfectly and has the extra thrill of being the first licensed story to be set before An Unearthly Child. Love how some of these stories introduce a villain as though they've always existed, or they know The Doctor in some unexplained way. It seems to crop up now and again in these stories. The Doctor and Susan are drawn and written to perfection in this comic, and the story is a perfectly fine comic book story. Nothing outstanding but serves the characters well, and it's nice to see The Doctor commanding a situation and bark at people like he does here.
