Operation Dusk surprised me quite a lot. I saw some listeners criticizing its paced narrative - Look, being really honest, I thought this slower dynamic was ideal for the proposal of the audio, it brought a perfect dosage for its investigative plot that includes espionage, terror and murder. Cautiously we begin to insert ourselves into the mysteries that are being investigated by the protagonists, the setting situated in World War II helped a lot to convey a more frightening tone being a more alarming scenario. It is interesting to note how the writer knew how to keep his story very engaging and stimulating joining the excellent performance of the cast. Now about Naomi and Harry, not that they are uninteresting, they are not, I just couldn't extract much charisma in their personalities, they were not those typical companions that I attached to, unfortunately they didn't mark me much, you know - But for me the icing on the cake were the antagonists, [⚠ SPOILERS] I honestly did not expect the involvement of the Vashta Neradas, they fit perfectly like a glove in the plot working very well, we do not have a repetition of what we see in Silence In the Library/Forest Of Dead, the villains gained innovative features that enriched them [⚠ END OF SPOILERS]. In summary, Operation Dusk delivers a very consistent, engaging and stimulating investigative adventure from the first to the last minute - Of course, it is still far from being a great highlight, it is a good story, very well structured and developed managing to deliver its central proposal.
