Hunger Games but Doctor Who - eh. Louise's impression of the Fourth Doctor is slightly better, but still not too good. Thankfully, he was sidelined for most of this, so we got to focus on Leela again. She was still trapped in the Z'Nai, but then she wasn't - very confusing. There's some great characterisation for her, however - the opening scene talking about how she longed for death, also being put into such a hostile environment after such development. The Co-ordinator was very generic and I don't have many opinions on him - however, his confrontations with Leela were good. Not the best, but still decent. There was nothing special about this generic sci-fi city. Again, I don't have anything to say. There were some beautiful landscapes, though, such as the waterfalls. None of the side characters left enough of an impact on me to talk about them. Yeah, I was not a fan of this story. Very generic and didn't make me want to revisit it again. This is part of a series of reviews of Doctor Who in chronological timeline order. Previous Story: The Catalyst This one is quite good, I think the alien race has unique concept to them, but this story isn't really about the alien race, it's about Leela. This story is at it's heart a character-piece for Leela, it adds some depth to her backstory and explains some of her motivations. I think it's quite well written and a good listen, Louise Jameson does a great job at making it feel alive and her Tom Baker impression has all the mannerisms down. I don't really have much to say, it's a strong companion chronicle that adds genuine depth to an already good character. Next Story: The Invisible Enemy thedefinitearticle63 View profile Like Liked 0
