Review of Terrorformer by MrColdStream

Thworping through time and space, one adventure at a time!

“TERROROFORMER: A CLASSIC WHO-STYLE OPENER”

Titan’s Twelfth Doctor: Year 1 kicks off with Terroroformer, a visually striking adventure set on an artificially terraformed planet. The recently regenerated Twelfth Doctor is written and drawn with impressive accuracy, fully capturing his sharp wit and commanding presence. Clara, however, comes across as her more irritating TV persona—overconfident and overbearing.

CLASSIC WHO VIBES MEET VIBRANT ARTWORK

The story leans into Classic Who territory with its premise: a corporate-led terraforming project gone terribly wrong. The pacing is slow, prioritising worldbuilding and character moments over immediate tension. However, the colourful, dynamic artwork and explosive action sequences make up for it, giving the adventure a strong visual identity. The Hyperions are serviceable villains, though not particularly original, while Kano Dollar embodies the classic greedy corporate figure, making his fate all the more satisfying.

VERDICT: A SOLID START, IF A LITTLE UNEVEN

While Terroroformer doesn’t quite hit the ground running in terms of action, its worldbuilding and character-driven storytelling provide a solid foundation. The stunning visuals and sharp characterisation of Twelve carry the story, even if Clara grates and the Hyperions fail to stand out.

📝7/10
