I can't even believe I bothered to finish this, it was so unbelievably dull. The setting is interesting enough, but suffered from character bloat and NONE of the characters were as endearing as the author was probably hoping they were, with climactic scenes and plot twists that felt unearned and hollow. The Doctor himself was mostly written competently, but half the time felt like a pull-string doll repeating old lines. This is definitely a story that would have benefited from a companion like Donna-- Donna in a mega-mall being attacked by Autons would have been brilliant. rainbound View profile Like Liked 0 9 May 2025 · 35 words BBC BooksKeeping up with the Joneses rainbound Spoilers Review of Keeping up with the Joneses by rainbound 9 May 2025 This review contains spoilers! Although initially disappointed that this short story had nothing to do with Martha Jones and her family, I was pleasantly surprised by just how brain-bendingly high concept this was! Very fun read and interesting premise! rainbound View profile Like Liked 0 20 April 2025 · 41 words Doctor Who Magazine ComicsThe Time of My Life rainbound Spoilers 2 Review of The Time of My Life by rainbound 20 April 2025 This review contains spoilers! Utterly fantastic. I cannot believe the line "You don't need someone to stop you, you need someone to keep you going." was from such a hard to find comic and it was never actually in the TV show itself. Peak fiction. rainbound View profile Like Liked 2 29 December 2024 · 135 words Quick ReadsCode of the Krillitanes rainbound Spoilers Review of Code of the Krillitanes by rainbound 29 December 2024 This review contains spoilers! I always love vignettes of the Doctor doing mundane, everyday things, so the scenes where he goes grocery shopping and sits in at a business meeting were pretty fun. It's plot is pretty similar to Daleks Take Manhattan & Evolution of The Daleks but in an even more corporate setting. I kind of liked the companion for this, or at least I liked the IDEA of this companion, who's just a middle aged joe shmoe I.T. guy. Reminded me a bit of Swansea from Mouthwashing LOL. The whole plot with the internet was pretty confusing and nonsensical, and it was just plain boring honestly. Good quote from this: The Doctor thought for a moment. ‘I don’t think you can really call the internet “normal”, but yes – as close as it ever gets.' rainbound View profile Like Liked 0 23 December 2024 · 6 words Doctor Who AdventuresThe Last Soldier rainbound 2 Review of The Last Soldier by rainbound 23 December 2024 the author's barely disguised pregnancy fetish rainbound View profile Like Liked 2 26 September 2024 · 7 words Video GamesAttack of the Graske rainbound Review of Attack of the Graske by rainbound 26 September 2024 ten is really cute in this <3 rainbound View profile Like Liked 0 Sorting, filtering, and pagination, coming soon!
