DOCTOR: I walked away from the last Great Time War. I marked the passing of the Time Lords.

I saw the birth of the universe and I watched as time ran out, moment by moment, until nothing remained.

No time. No space. Just me.

I walked in universes where the laws of physics were devised by the mind of a mad man.

I've watched universes freeze and creations burn. I've seen things you wouldn't believe. I have lost things you will never understand.

And I know things. Secrets that must never be told. Knowledge that must never be spoken. Knowledge that will make parasite gods blaze.

DOCTOR: Look over there.

RIVER: That's me. How can I be there?

DOCTOR: That's you from the future, serving time for a murder you probably can't remember. My murder.

RIVER: Why would you do that? Make me watch?

DOCTOR: So that you know this is inevitable. And you are forgiven. Always and completely forgiven.

(Little Amelia is sitting on her suitcase, looking out of the window. Rory tries to hold the door shut as the Minotaur pounds on it. Amy drops to her knees.)

AMY: Doctor, it's happening. It's changing me. It's changing my thoughts.

DOCTOR: I can't save you from this. There's nothing I can do to stop this.

AMY: What?

DOCTOR: I stole your childhood and now I've led you by the hand to your death. But the worst thing is, I knew. I knew this would happen. This is what always happens.

(The Minotaur bursts in.)

DOCTOR: Forget your faith in me. I took you with me because I was vain. Because I wanted to be adored. Look at you. Glorious Pond, the girl who waited for me. I'm not a hero. I really am just a mad man in a box. And it's time we saw each other as we really are.

(The Minotaur staggers backwards.)

DOCTOR: Amy Williams, it's time to stop waiting.

DONNA: She [Jenny] belongs with us. With you. She's your daughter.

DOCTOR: She's a soldier. She came out of that machine.

DONNA: Oh yes, I know that bit. Listen, have you got that stethoscope? Give it to me. Come on.

JENNY: What are you doing?

DONNA: It's all right. Just hold still.

(Donna listens to Jenny's chest.)

DONNA: Come here. Listen, and then tell me where she belongs.

DOCTOR: Two hearts.

DONNA: Exactly.

HALPEN: They welcomed it. It’s not as if they put up a fight.

DONNA: You idiot. They’re born with their brains in their hands. Don’t you see, that makes them peaceful. They’ve got to be, because a creature like that would have to trust anyone it meets.
