Review of The Claws of Axos by eldritchlamb

4 January 2025

BRIGADIER: And you came back of your own accord?
DOCTOR: Well, I...
JO: Doctor?
DOCTOR: No. No, I’m afraid not. No, obviously the Time Lords have programmed the TARDIS always to return to Earth. It seems that I’m some kind of a galactic yo-yo!

Aww, he doesn't admit that he cares about them. Also I really loved the dynamic between The Doctor and The Master in episode 4. Some really cute Thoschei moments here.

Those Axon flesh monsters would have given me nightmares if I had seen this as a child. Overall I think this was a good story.

He's got his TARDIS back. He's free to come and go where he pleases, while I'm stuck here on Earth- with you, Brigadier!

I really enjoyed this one. The plot was very well put together. And Master was back to his usual mayhem.

I love Jo Grant. And Master. That's all. I love them both.

Review of Letting Go by eldritchlamb

This was such a sweet and sad story. Honestly I nearly cried as Charley told Stan's mother his message.

The Doctor is sort of in the background in this one, letting Charley handle the conversation with Stan's family - which makes sense since Eight doesn't really handle grief that well and sort of avoids it. Charley and Eight are really in-character in this one and India Fisher does amazing job as a narrator. This is only the second short trip story I've listened to so I can't say it how it compares to other stories overall but I really loved this one.

Review of Running Out of Time by eldritchlamb

India Fisher did great job narrating this and I really loved the music choices here. At the beginning I felt interested in the story but the more I continued to listen, the more it felt sort of... flat. Like there could have been more potential here.

this was really fun and well written!

Review of The Condemned by eldritchlamb

This was quite good! There's alien conspiracy, murder and a haunted house with a twist so all in all a pretty fun episode. Charley and Six have a great dynamic and I also liked D.I Patricia Menzies.

Review of Hostile Environment by eldritchlamb

This story was heart-breaking when I first listened to it, and over-all a really interesting story. A very dystopian take on society and homelessness. I really like Tyler as a character and this story really puts him at rock bottom with what he goes through.

PRIME: Stand aside, lower creature.
MASTER: I pride myself that I'm the dearest companion to the owner of this craft, so I'm very much afraid I shall not.

I think this was a fun watch. I loved the dynamic between The Master and The Doctor in this one, and the fact that they end up travelling together. I enjoyed the story and Richard E. Grant was a brilliant Doctor.
