You know I really hope that Jacqueline Rayner writes basically the exact same book in, let's say, around 2007 but without it coming at a really strange time in an overly complicated book series, with a worse Doctor, a less interesting companion, less gay, and not as tightly written. I doubt that will ever happen though. ecclesofficial View profile Like Liked 0 29 May 2025 · 83 words BBC BooksThe Last Dodo ecclesofficial Spoilers Review of The Last Dodo by ecclesofficial 29 May 2025 This review contains spoilers! I wonder if anyone ever wanted to read basically the exact same book as EarthWorld down to the same author but without it coming at a really strange time in an overly complicated book series, with a worse Doctor, a less interesting companion, less gay, and not as tightly written. In any case, they got it. Still, it has a fictional museum, and that's possibly the best setting you can put into a story. Oh, and the start of each chapter is good. ecclesofficial View profile Like Liked 0 29 May 2025 · 119 words BBC BooksThe Scarlet Empress ecclesofficial Spoilers Review of The Scarlet Empress by ecclesofficial 29 May 2025 This review contains spoilers! To paraphrase Elizabeth Sandifer, this is Doctor Who finally making the true connection it was always destined to between gay culture and postmodernism. The result is Iris Wildthyme. Iris Wildthyme is the single greatest character to be introduced into the Doctor Who universe (whatever that is). She is the great feminist reinterpreter of patriarchal Gallifrey. She does embody the endless polymorphous perversity of time and possibility. And Doctor Who is all the better for it. And if that's your kind of thing, then give this one a read... and anything else Magrs has written. This isn't even his best work. Anything else I would say here has been beaten by this fantastic review: https://tardis.guide/reviews/story-the-scarlet-empress/quartz_/ ecclesofficial View profile Like Liked 0 27 May 2025 · 8 words Virgin New AdventuresLungbarrow ecclesofficial Spoilers 1 Review of Lungbarrow by ecclesofficial 27 May 2025 This review contains spoilers!
