I still liked it though. And I really, really like the art by Christopher Jones. He really makes this adventure come alive. The plan of the villains in this story reminds me of certain portions of Time Lord Victorious. Specifically involving a de-evolution beam. The opening pages of this comic are so good and has some deep cuts to the expanded universe. The story as a whole is a love letter to Doctor Who, though admittedly Slott mentions in an interview it mostly celebrates the RTD1 era which is fine. He brilliantly fits soooo much of DW history and villains into this story without it feeling too stuffed and I loved the twist at the end. I also really enjoyed the new baddies the Pyromeths. Kazekun 1 Review of Everyone Must Go! by Kazekun 15 June 2025 Titan Comic's The Fifteenth Doctor comic is so much fun. After the finale I was not ready to let these characters go so I'm diving into the few expanded media that includes them. This is a really short run, criminal that it's Titan's only 15th Doctor comic, but I really, really enjoyed it. The Doctor and Ruby go up against the Scream Sommelier, or the God of Screams. He creates various terrifying scenarios for them and we get some fun callbacks to some past adventures of the Doctor's. Dan Waters really understands these characters and gives us the best God story of this era. I also really enjoy Kelsey Ramsay's art she has a knack for atmosphere. There were a few small moments that seemed shoehorned in for the season one storyline, but overall this was great. I've seen three of the Reeltime Pictures films, this being one, but with DW off the air atm I figured I would revisit these and then also watch the ones I haven't seen. I think it's fine. The idea of Benton getting haunted by the ghosts of his past in what seems to be his childhood home is a good one, and some of it really works. The subplot with the gunmen trying to steal U.N.I.T. weapons less so, but it's literally visualized as time moving slow on the outside while inside Benton's mind bubble things are moving along normally so that Benton can deal with this and get back to save the day. At least it's a short watch at roughly 30 minutes. What I love most about this movie though is the music. Mark Ayres' soundtrack is 🤌🏻. That’s only five years before Moffat would bring back the Zygons in Day of the Doctor. Genuinely I had thought both this and Cyberon were made in the 90s. Man, I was wrong. This is more what I imagined from Cyberon, btw. The acting is weaker though the actors aren’t given as good material to work with; the story is quite frankly a mess. And the time period of which these Zygons were trapped in Earth I would have drastically lowered if I had written this as it just seems like they’re terrible at their job. The nudity and sex was certainly a choice, didn’t bother me too much, maybe because I’ve already seen Torchwood and some of this is just a bit more adult than that. But ultimately it’s the least of why I think this movie is downright messy compared to Cyberon. Sucks too because the character of Lauren Anderson (played by Jo Castleton) I really liked in the first movie. She does a lot more questionable stuff here, and something really tragic happens to her as well and she just shows very little emotion regarding most of it. What I did like is the SFX/CGI stuff. That low budget sci-fi from the 00s that gives more of an impressionistic vibe at times. That was solid stuff. I do appreciate the story they were trying to tell about self and identity and yadda yadda, just wish it was better. There’s a throughline to the story, even if it’s quite basic, the low budget and limited settings doesn’t bother me, I actually liked the whole deal with the Cyberon, and the main cast really do give good performances and take the story seriously. There’s definitely some “why did you do this” choices in the movie, such as a certain scene that faded to the two main characters in bed together after one being forcefully injected with the drug. I don’t like what it implies, though they try to explain it away, but eh. This movie also starts off with what I imagine is the only live-action by name reference to Sam and the Doctor. As someone just getting into the EDAs I appreciated that. Is it a GOOD movie? No, just mediocre, but not bad either. I’m interested in more Cyberon. I like how much the story focuses in Romana, the Doctor's companion and fellow Time Lord, as she gives us a great pov into this planet and its people. The story is a very obvious jab at social media and Twitter. And since this story came out things have clearly gotten worse just like in the events here. The setting also features Romana and the Doctor in a Summer Wars style virtual reality at one point, I would love to see that animated or as a comic or something. I also think the inclusion of 11 in this story, like the last adventure, felt shoehorned in with how he was utilized. But overall I enjoyed this quite a bit. Probably my favorite of the four adventures so far. This one is a slow burn at first and a bit boring to get into but once the villains show up it becomes much more exciting. Overall, I quite liked it and it's fun to hear the Doctor do more hands on stuff that he wouldn't normally do because he is trapped on Earth, like flying a plane in order to try and figure out clues to the overall mystery. I do think the inclusion of the Eleventh Doctor in this story is a bit more forced this time around than in the previous two stories tho. Had a lot of great sci-fi imagery and the monsters remind of certain episodes of the show I often quite enjoy. And I liked how this handled its stand alone story as well as tied in with future stories from this event. It follows the 2nd Doctor and their companions. I don't have much to say about it in particular just that I thought it was quite good! I really liked how time was utilized and manipulated! It's also the first in a 11-part story featuring all the Doctor's up until this point for the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who. It's a pretty okay story. Not mind-blowing or anything, in fact while there is technically some villains in this story they're sort of divorced from what is the real actual threat which we don't learn the origin of--I assume we will find out more about in the following 10 stories. I feel like the creators of the story just kind of came up with a title because there are no "Hunters of Earth" in this story. What the primary threat in this story represents is sort of an in your face allegory for racism versus tolerance. Which is fine it just needed a different title. But I liked it, short, sweet, and easy to digest. A Cyberman story set amongst the backdrop of an intergalactic war between humans and androids. It's pretty good! A much more subdued Cyberman story than what the new era of DW TV usually offers. And a great little bit in here about humanity and if androids can be considered such. I liked it. The Doctor finds himself boarding the R101, a passenger blimp destined to go down on its maiden voyage. But while around he stumbles onto a much bigger plot that involves the alien race known as the Triskele. He also meets his soon to be companion, Charlotte "Charley" Pollard. I really dug this! I've listened to some McGann stuff in the past and I find him to be an excellent Doctor onscreen as well. The story is tight, I like the villains, and the chemistry between the Doctor and Charley is immediately apparent. McGann really was robbed of being the zaddy Doctor that Tennant ended up becoming. But it was great, can't wait for more! 👍🏻 Kazekun View profile Like Liked 1 Sorting and filtering coming soon!
