This was such a fun series opener. The music at the beginning of the episode felt really reminiscent of Murray Gold's work on RTD1 which I love. This era so far his music hasn't felt as whimsical, but up to the intro it was very whimsy which I just adore. Belinda was great, I really warmed to her already.

The reviews prepared me for something really ham-fisted and in your face when in actual fact it was well done, and very topical with life at the minute. There were twists, turns, laughs and tears. A really fun opener to the series!

The ending... VERY intriguing!

Really great and harrowing end to this 3 part box-set. This really was the first story that properly earned the adult content warning, with some truly horrific scenes. The ending left room for more, which was confirmed in the extras so I'm very interested in how series 2 will go! Lots of possibilities. I do hope they don't shoehorn the Doctor into it as seems to be the norm lately with these ranges that don't center around him

This was a PHENOMENAL episode, and by a new writer nonetheless! Really enjoyed hearing the Krynoid being vicious, while the human aspect of their transformation was really at the forefront. The Doctor was great in this, he really fit in well with the characters. I love the worldbuilding they've done its really been great so far, lets just hope part 3 is as good!

It was cool to learn that this is the Krynoid's home planet too was a surprise but rather obvious in hindsight.

The Doctor just leaving though felt a bit... Especially with how it ended!! 

Gutted Shearsmith's character is killed too, hoped he'd stick around for more.

This series opener really does a good job of setting the stakes and worldbuilding. Really intriguing start, a slow one too but I quite like that as it really helps create a good foundation for this series. Predictable ending, but exciting nonetheless!

Big Finish really overdo it when they have kids going "mummy" or "daddy" they make them repeat it like 500 times and it becomes obnoxious. Noticed this in a few releases now!

This was a great first outing for this team on audio. I really liked how they didn't give a ton of exposition for Benny as it would've been a bit clunky perhaps. Seven had some great moments in this, one of the rare occasions where his plotting and scheming doesn't work and he has to think on the spot which I really liked. There was some great conflict between the Doctor and Benny, which reminded me of a lot of conversations he's had with Ace on TV! The villains were great, and this story felt really epic in scale from start to finish.

This entire boxset is just a rehash of the first, like almost exactly. Why are they obsessed with putting this Master back into the vortex at the end of every. single. appearance. Its becoming really annoying, as is the general rehashing. This set was a different location sure, but the plot and goals of the Master and everyone just felt so similar, but worse? Really hope the third series ups its game.

Honestly, I'm just not vibing with this set. Its a shame because I wanted to like it, and it brings back a monster from one of my fave 3rd Doctor stories, but it just has fallen flat thus far. Lets hope the finale is better!
