This was my first experience of Dorian Gray so I reckon a lot of references were lost on me. I thought the set was building to the Master doing something with everything he's been gathering but no he's foiled pretty quickly and rather easily for my liking. The set in itself has such a unique and interesting premise, but I just feel like it failed to take it anywhere really exciting. Not to mention, this story utilises a similar story beat from the previous which is just not surprising at all when it happens.

I really like the concept behind this set, placing the Master in different fictional realities! That said, this story could've done with a significant chunk of it being taken off the runtime. Often stories at BF that go over an hour I'd say this for, but here I'd have gladly taken even more off of it. 50-55 mins would've been perfect, but it dragged in parts. I love this incarnation with his scheming and plotting, and here is no different. I found how the story utilised the Master knowing he's in a fictional world to be really clever and funny for the audience in parts, but again it did go on a tad too long.

H.G Wells is here for some reason? Peri has some great moments but the actual plot of this story really didn't engage me whatsoever and I just couldn't connect with it. I can see how the boxset is going to be formed and I love how it is going to come together at the end!

Really solid start to this anniversary set! Immediately chucked in at the deep end amongst a very interesting plot, I'm really intrigued as to where it will go! Lots of camp and comedy in this which I just adore, and it fits in with 6's era so nicely. Mel shines, I just love Mel so much!!

Decent ending although I still find it odd how they introduced the villain behind it all at the end, could've done with more teasing throughout the previous 2 sets but oh well. I'm left a little unsure with Noah, we learn about just what he is but... how did he come to be? I think there's more to tell there. I really like Dorium and his dynamic with the duo, shame we won't get more of it.

Finally some answers, and interesting ones at that. This felt like everything had come together with the returns of Dorium and Garundel. Everything's been leading to this, but the introduction of the villain in the final set, who I'm assuming is pulling the strings, seems an odd choice! Still, I'm curious to see how this ends.

Complete and utter camp ! What a delightful opener, lots of timey wimey shenanigans and just generally a fun story with lots of humour throughout. I'm still not sold on the range, but this was a highlight for me. I really hope we get answers on the COLT-5000 and Noah, its been dragged out long enough now. Cheese and pickle? basic.

Sadly I had the twist spoiled for me by reading the BF descriptions for every set... bit of a huge spoiler to include but oh well. The story itself is quite sweet, I like how they explore Geraldine and actually explain how she came to be and it has some lovely moments. Lots of timey wimey shenanigans and consequences!

This was a generous 3. Its camp, its silly and fun sure but it just dragged a little and I didn't care for any of the side characters whatsoever.

This was a really lovely opener to the 13th Doctor BF era with Yaz. As someone who only recently found an appreciation for this era I've been eagerly anticipating this. I love Flux and I really like Dan, but I hoped for just the Doctor and Yaz together to flesh out their dynamic more and also have an female-led TARDIS team. Here we are !

Vampire Weekend is a really fun start to this series, it balances the tones and themes really quite nicely with a lot of fun humour thrown in. The situation itself is just really great with the Doctor gatecrashing the hen-do. There are some lovely little callbacks to classic who from the Doctor, which are just a joy to hear her say! Yaz is really the focus of this story, as we are introduced to her friends and the dynamics between them are fractured and interesting to say the least. There's one particular scene with Yaz and her friend regarding gender identity and its subtle but so lovely.

There is a tease towards the series arc which have left me very intrigued, and I really can't wait to hear what's going on with that even if its just a very brief tease thus far.

This was a lot better than most of S1, I really had a fun time. Although, Dorium's characterisation felt odd like something just was off with him for me throughout most of the story. I did see one of the twists coming, but not the other! I think it was quite a lovely ending too, and I am excited to hear more. I want Noah to get more of a focus!

This story is fine but that's all I can say really about it. The COLT plotline goes nowhere, the Noah plotline goes nowhere. Its just teasing and teasing and honestly its beginning to be like pulling teeth with how drawn out these arcs are. There's some good character beats, especially with the clones and the whole 'letting go' aspect. I do hope the next 2 series can deliver on these arcs given how long they've been dragged out, and I really hope they stop bringing up the Doctor all the time its like new who with the Brigadier.

Couldn't get into this one whatsoever, and it dragged unnecessarily. Noah was sidelined far too much, and the ongoing mysteries with him and the cyborg are not really moved forward much sadly.

The first part of this story is so drawn out, and the framing of the story with the two narrators really takes me out of the action. The second part largely makes up for the first, dropping most of the narrated aspects, and delivering more of a plot. Some decent enough twists, but ultimately the second part couldn't fully recover from the first.

Despite being my most anticipated story, this fell a bit flat for me. The body swapping was dragged out far too long, and the story moves so quick that it felt like too much to cram into just two parts. Marco Polo didn't need a sequel, but I do like that they touched upon the LGBT themes which Classic Who wouldn't have done. Katy Manning's 6 was more 3 to me too...

Granted I've not listened to many Constance stories prior to this, I had a lovely time getting to know her a bit more in this one. What a story! I do love a misunderstood monster story, paired with the actual monster being really very creepy. I like how the story utilises aspects of what is established in The Magicians Apprentice but takes its own spin on things. Some genuinely harrowing and creepy moments in this one, really strong start to the set.

Mark Wright you've done it again! How am I supposed to wait until next year for the conclusion!? What a huge high stakes episode, and Angela Bruce putting in an incredible performance once more. Getting to play the dual role really gave her a chance to shine in a different way, likewise for Savarin. I need more! They're just so consistently good!

The way this episode fools you into suspecting you can guess the twist, then to pull the rug from under you, then to gently place the rug back down, only to SNATCH it away from under you again. Truly some brilliant storytelling. I thought this was going to be a bottle episode, as opposed to integrated into the arc, and how wrong I was...

I really can't wait for this next story, but omg I need to rewatch Battlefield.

Ooooh the dynamic between Bambera and Rix in Kaiju is so GOOOOOD I love tension and seeing the dynamics develop more and more as the series goes on. Great opener, I love parallel universe stuff so it hit for me. Fairly generic monster of the week however the character work in this one shines through so well, esp the scene with Bambera and Rix at the end !!

This is the first UNIT BNW story to get lower than a 4 star for me. I think given the threat has been built up for some time, and the phone call reveal, neither particular amazed or wowed me. They were fine enough, but I expected a bit more from all the teasing. The story itself too was a little straight forward in terms of what I have come to expect from this range. Very by the numbers, kinda UNIT TNS style in a way I suppose. Lydia's betrayal came as a huge shock, I really like her and Bambera's dynamic so it'll be interesting now that's shifted considerably. I do hope we hear from her again!

Oh I loved this one, yes I have loved every story so far in this range it is very very consistent. I love mysterious stories like this in the Whoniverse that really test the limits and go more supernatural. It really reminds me of the X Files to be honest! I think Bambera and Rix work really well together in this, the dynamic of the skeptic and the believer is really a joy to listen to. Some genuinely really creepy moments thrown in for good measure, and a rather fitting end.

Such a strong opener to this set and oh boy do I love Savarin!! The concept in this story is really interesting, and timely too despite being set in the 90s. I think this range has so much potential and they're really doing it so well thus far. The ending has me super super intrigued as to what comes next!

What an end to a phenomenal set! Truly such a great set of stories. This one in particular was a great story for Rix, and I just love the dynamic between her, Savarin and Bambera. They work so well together as characters and I can't wait to hear this team develop more as the sets go on. The story itself is quite atmospheric and tense, and while a simple enough plot, it doesn't drag whatsoever. Alife Shaw I love you!!! The ending has me so intrigued for what's to come, I can't wait!

Silas Carson is such a talent, and his voice is instantly recognisable in this. I'd love more of him in BF as he's a brilliant actor. This story is really interesting and is quite grounded in reality, and the "villain" isn't entirely villainous, and you can totally get his motive which makes the episode stand out. I'm glad they've staggered the introduction of Bambera's team, as its given them time to breathe a bit more. Rix is great, I really like her and Bambera's dynamic already. Throw in Savarin, I think this is going to be a really lovely trio indeed!

Now THAT is how you do a range premiere!!!! The pre title sequence is absolutely incredible, the acting, the tension, the score!? The score deserves its own mention outright because throughout the episode it is just so sublime and it fits the story so well. The intro theme is used quite a lot in different versions which really helps to build a consistent theme.

Bambera is phenomenal in this, absolutely written and acted to perfection. She's such a good leading character in this, and I think I'm going to have a lot of fun getting to know her more and just hearing more of her in general. The other characters introduced that I assume will be recurring/regular characters are also really great, and they are just full of personality from the offset.
