FLOOD: And that's how the story of the Church on Ruby Road comes to an end, with a very happy ending for little Ruby Sunday. But life goes on, doesn't it? Ruthlessly. And what happens, you might wonder. Oh, what happens to that mysterious traveller in Time and Space known as the Doctor? I'm sorry to say his story ends in absolute terror. Night, night.

(Rogue kisses the Doctor and takes the trigger off him. He pushes Ruby out of the triform and takes her place.)

ROGUE: Find me.

TIMOTHY: Henry, get away from him.

MAESTRO: Them.

TIMOTHY: What?

MAESTRO: Me.

TIMOTHY: What?

MAESTRO: I'm them.

TIMOTHY: You're who?

MAESTRO: You're who?

MAESTRO: Music, Maestro, please!

MAESTRO: Ta-da!

DOCTOR: Never be cruel. Never be cowardly. Hate is always foolish. Love is always wise. Always try to be nice, but never fail to be kind.

DOCTOR: Winning? Is that what you think it's about? I'm not trying to win. I'm not doing this because I want to beat someone, or because I hate someone, or because, because I want to blame someone. It's not because it's fun and God knows it's not because it's easy. It's not even because it works, because it hardly ever does. I do what I do, because it's right! Because it's decent! And above all, it's kind. It's just that. Just kind. If I run away today, good people will die. If I stand and fight, some of them might live. Maybe not many, maybe not for long. DOCTOR: We're the most civilised civilisation in the universe. We're billions of years beyond your petty human obsession with gender and its associated stereotypes.

BILL: But you still call yourselves Time Lords?

DOCTOR: Yeah. Shut up.

DOCTOR: Human progress isn't measured by industry, it's measured by the value you place on a life. An unimportant life. A life without privilege. The boy who died on the river, that boy's value is your value. That's what defines an age. That's what defines a species.

DOCTOR: Charley, C'Rizz, Lucie, Tamsin, Molly. Friends, companions I've known, I salute you. And Cass, I apologise. Physician, heal thyself.

DOCTOR: Everybody lives, Rose. Just this once, everybody lives!

DOCTOR: We need to end the story.

EVELYN: Why? Stories don't end in real life. Sally was right. There's no happy ever after. There's happy, and then there's the day after, which might be happy, and then the day after, which might be happy, but keep on going far enough and you'll get to a day which isn't. There's never a final end.
