Wow this was just brilliant. I didn't realize I would miss 10 & Rose this much but they're just brilliant here. It's like Tennant and Billie never left.

Also I love the idea behind the villains. The concept is really good. And it was nice to see that good old 10 rage again.

I like that the ep didn't get too meta and just had those elements for the alien characters. But then..

"Who would watch a show about me?" 😂😭

Another day, another reason why I never trust DW fans, especially when something rated very negatively.

Now this isn't a story without flaws but I really enjoy what it's going for. Very dark & serious in places but also just so goofy. The American voice acting is definitely not that good but I was just laughing everytime that demon character spoke. They knew what they were going for.

The Brigadier is sadly wasted. Even tho he's as cool as always he doesn't feel like a large person in the story. While the amnesia plot is repeated here the movie, I really enjoyed the twist here.

I don't really get the complaints that Charley was sexualized at all. We know the type of men we're gonna be seeing here so I expected those of type & Charley did decently against them.

Also are witches & spells just normal in DW now?

The 25 mins after the Doctor regains his memories is just pure "hype moments and aura farming" and I love it.

Absolutely loved this one. This audio reminded me why I love the 10 & Donna dynamic so much. I'm pretty sure this is the funniest 10 has ever been. Goofy ahh dude popping up everywhere Donna goes in the beginning was hilarious.

The resolution isn't that great but this one is pure fun and I think that trumps the other stuff.

And Donna referring to all her previous weddings lol 😭

Goddamn... Great writing, characterisation & ending. Definitely wanna hear more Torchwood.

Picks up very well in the 2nd half & does have a great ending but damn this one could've ended multiple times. Just felt like it dragged. The 10 & Donna dynamic is amazing though.

Damn.. This literally felt like an ep from S4. Not only cuz of the cast & music but also from the way it's written. Just very similar to RTD's style. Very nostalgic too.

But overall the story is nothing special but does its job well & is satisfying. Cool villains but they're also predictable.

This season started off so well man & was such a high until ep 7, at least for me. It's absolutely we not only got a mid finale but such a messy ending for 15, who had so much potential. He deserved better.

[Review for the whole boxset]

Damn this was some good Dr Who. As I'm still new to the audio format it really does get hard to navigate what's exactly happening but the story is pretty easy to follow. The crime drama vibes are really good & great performances from the cast. There's a particular bit from the War Doctor at the end by Johnathan Carly that is just so damn good & fleshes put War so well and what his mission is.

There's also some Truman Show vibes and the insane time travel plot twist at the end is just neat. I wish TV Dr Who got this creative considering it actually can.

The interviews at the end are great too. I loved everything Alfie Shaw, the writer had to say & nice to see Alan Wake as a reference. I definitely wanna check out more of his & War's stuff.

This was my first audio from Big Finish & it completely sold me on how good this medium is for DW. Really liking 8 & Charley.

The atmosphere & the voice acting is amazing.
