Review of Signal and I’ll Come to You by Duracell1692

24 December 2024

This review contains spoilers!

I truly don't know, on one hand the story the master is saying is really boring but I enjoyed the ending bit and the twist very much got me.

An extremely solid story I was not expecting to enjoy anywhere near as much as I did, brilliantly scary.

Review of The Foxglove Cylinders by Duracell1692

24 December 2024

I felt extremely torn with this story, on one hand the character of Merton is actually quite compelling and there's a fairly interesting story here. It never feels like we get the full potential of what the story could be.

A very slow boring story. Nothing more to say

One of my favorite ending scenes to any boxset ever but unfortunately getting there is a slog.

Review of The Life and Loves of Mr Alexander Bennett by Duracell1692

24 December 2024

Arguably the pettiest we've seen the war master but this story hits unbelievably well, everyone in the cast is perfect, truly no notes.

Review of The Long Despair by Duracell1692

24 December 2024

The long despair is a slow burn, but is truly worth it.

I just wish the first half picked up a bit quicker

Review of Morbius Part 3 by Duracell1692

24 December 2024

An absolute masterclass by Tim Foley on how to write and execute a 3 part epic.

I didn't care about Morbius as a character but after this, I kind of love him?

Excellent.

Review of The War Master Part 3 by Duracell1692

24 December 2024

Easily the worst story I've done in a couple of years, I'm all one for whacky stories/twists but this one takes it too far, I really had to stop multiple times while listening and put my head in my hands.

Review of Reflect by Duracell1692

24 December 2024

I don't like the other Ace/Colchester stories, I think on the whole I just don't really care for the pairing,  but this is easily the best of the bunch, really atmospheric ghost stories with Sophie Aldred and Paul Clayton performing fantastically as usual
