Strup the Sontaran taking over the Medusa Cascade nursery multiple times despite canonically lacking a brain does in fact make him one of the most impressive entities in Doctor Who.

Sadly this story was, spiritually, one of the more middling Chibnall-era guest episodes. However, it does get some points for having one of the coolest robot spiders I've ever seen.

On a recent rewatch, I was struck by how brave this script is regarding where it takes the Doctor. He's angry, he's vulnerable, he's very, very fallible - the sense of which is only bolstered by an astonishing performance from Eccleston. His skill is the final piece of a puzzle that risks falling apart without the gravitas and weight he imparts to the story.

I've seen modern Doctor Who TV stories with plot resolutions less nifty than the one in this comic, frankly.

Urgh, new babies are so boring

Girl, every single meaningful event in your life is the arrival of a new baby. Get some perspective!

Gonna be honest with you team, maybe I'm just not caught up on my Doctor Who® Alien Babies® lore, but I was a bit confused by this one. Why do the weeping angel cherubs have potent acidic milk? It's not logically impossible but it feels like something of a non sequitur. Shouldn't they have, like, quantum locked stone milk, or time milk, or whatever? Gonna be pondering this one for a while.

Insane lore drops here. Medusa Cascade location for Dorium's nursery, intergalactic neutral grounds, introduction of commander cuddles... Doctor Who "fans", pay attention or fall behind.

Do you think Chris Chibnall was thinking of this comic when he had the sontarons become obsessed with chocolate? Seems likely imo
