Review of The Android Invasion by Azurillkirby

6 May 2025

This one was great. So many twists and turns that prevented it from every being boring, along with some great effects. I don't have a lot to say, but this was extremely solid.

A+.

Review of Old Flames by Azurillkirby

5 May 2025

This review contains spoilers!

I wasn't expecting Iris to be in this story, but it was a welcome surprise. This setting fits Iris particularly well. I loved when she told the old woman to go to hell. Iris is great.

Review of Ahead of Time by Azurillkirby

I don't know why, but I really struggled to get into this one. It took me multiple attempts to get through this story. There's nothing obviously bad about it, but it just never was able to hook me in.

Review of Lucky Day by Azurillkirby

3 May 2025

Companion epilogue stories without the Doctor are some of my favorite stories from the EU, so it's great to see one on the show proper. It helps that the episode is incredible, as well. Millie Gibson is still amazing.

Review of Jonah by Azurillkirby

2 May 2025

A lot of really interesting stories, though I'm a little conflicted, if only because I'm not a fan of the military submarine aesthetic. The rest of the story is great; it's just harder for me personally to get engrossed in it.

B. Maybe C.

Review of In the Garden of Death by Azurillkirby

2 May 2025

Bliss and the Twelve really got to shine this ep, and I love it. People complain about the Eighth Doctor having too many amnesia stories, but it's a role that Paul McGann plays very well.

A. Maybe A+.

Review of Planet of the Ogrons by Azurillkirby

2 May 2025

The idea of an "Ogron Doctor" is a very cute idea, and it's use is very cute here. I'm also already a fan of the Twelve, can't wait to see how this whole thing turns into a backstab from her.

B. Maybe A.

Review of The Lords of Terror by Azurillkirby

2 May 2025

An interesting start to the second Time War set. I see people complain that the Big Finish audios don't truly get into the horrors of the Time War, but it's felt like it describes it well enough, so far.

B. Maybe A.

Review of One Life by Azurillkirby

30 April 2025

The Eighth Doctor Time War range is off to a great start. This volume has been fantastic, and this was a great finale to the set. Bliss has made a pretty good first impression as well.

A+.
