Review of The Final Poblom by Azurillkirby

28 March 2025

A great finale for this series of the Paternoster Gang! I wish I was more familiar with the Sherlock Holmes story being referenced so I could understand the references, but I loved this story all the same.

A+. Maybe A.

Review of A Passion for Fashion by Azurillkirby

A lot of interesting twists and turns in this one! What might otherwise be a standard story is elevated by the inherent strength of the Paternoster Gang.

A. Maybe B.

Review of Situation Vacant by Azurillkirby

27 March 2025

Extremely fascinating premise for a story which really fits for the Eighth Doctor. I had a bit of trouble discerning between the different characters, but other than that, this story was great.

B. Maybe A.

Review of Quantum Heresy by Azurillkirby

This one might be a bit too experimental for me. I like the atmosphere and audio editing, but the plot... I'm not sure I understood anything about it at all.
C. Maybe D. Maybe B?

Review of Running Out of Time by Azurillkirby

Really fascinating story premise here. A little bit hard to follow, but it's still deeply compelling. These early entries in the audio Short Trips are so weird and experimental, but I like them.

Review of Organism 96 by Azurillkirby

I hear a lot of praise for Paul Magrs as a writer from the fandom, and while there are some great stories from him like The Zygon Who Fell to Earth, there are a good few that I think are pretty mid, like this and Sleeper Agents.

Review of An Earthly Child by Azurillkirby

I don't know if it would even be possible for me to feel negatively about a story with Susan returning. I'm so happy that this story exists. The story is also good! I can't get enough Susan.

Review of Death in Blackpool by Azurillkirby

27 March 2025

Very emotional story and incredibly well made. One of the best 8DAs so far. I'm not even sure what to say about it other than it just being kind of perfect.
A+. Maybe S.

Review of Operation Werewolf by Azurillkirby

27 March 2025

Incredibly good and really feels like a story from the era. After the messy storyline of the 2DAs, it's great to hear Michael Troughton's 2 in a story that feels like it belongs in the era. And it helps that it kicks ass.

Review of The Mega by Azurillkirby

27 March 2025

I'm conflicted on this one. I ended up liking this one a lot more than I expected to, but I'm genuinely not sure why. There are a lot of things in this story that usually bore me out of interest.
B. Maybe C.
