A book that was way too short. The Doctor praising Shirley’s work was a bit too preachy. Even more so than in the TV Show’s Celeb Historical.

God- TV Comics get weird

Very fun little story. The implication from this series that K-9 works for Gallifrey’s CIA or even Division is scary- just shows what Narvin is hiding from Romana.

Yaz tales about the creator but never says who they are (even though we know who he is)

A bit of a nothing ending. Not the greatest.

Nice way to get round legalities by changing the Villians name but keeping the backstory the exact same. Very easy resolution but that would make sense for a kids book

Paul Magrs being just Paul Magrs by saying the man Marco Polo has missing episodes and that iris can see the doctor’s got quite a backstory

Why does he have a ray gun on hand?

I have many many problems with this episode.

1. The Doctor looking at one poster and immediately remembering all the missing people faces immediately and then spotting them immediately and recognising them immediately from the poster.
2. Belinda doing the exact same thing.
3. Belinda was just stuck in the TARDIS doing no thing for the plot for some time.
4. The TARDIS going weird for no reason at all. No explanation given.
5. Belinda gets caught by a ‘policewoman’ (was she a police officer) then the next time we see Belinda, she’s going to the barber shop without any repercussions.
6. The fugitive doctor appearing with no context out of nowhere . Causal viewers who don’t know who she is will be confused. Fan service for fan service sake.
7. The spider was promoted a lot ( a warning was evening given) but when it appeared it was there for a few minutes. My mum who is scared of spiders wasn’t scared at all. Too sci-fi.
8. The story was so confusing. To a casual viewer, it would be too hard to follow. It was very wordy. With the show fighting for viewers and a future, non-fans will switch off and the press will have plenty of news stories about ‘lowest viewing figures ever’. If I was to watch for a second time (and that’s a big if) I might watch it again to figure things out. But a casual viewer would just think it was a mess. Weakest episode of the series so far.
