I know not many people like this, but I kind of do!

The Fourth Doctor and Leela compliment this story really well. This TARDIS team are settled into the Hinchcliffe-styled story, and I think that it's great how Leela's taking part in this hunt, showing off her skills, with the weather, as it reflects her character in the enemy's. The Doctor faces off against the Zygons well, and felt nostalgic of Terror. The final scene between the pair was quite sweet, and ties off how they are a great team together after the rough ordeal they've gone through across the season.

The Zygons sound epic. Nick Briggs recreated their voices in a really creepy way that brings together both Classic and New Zygons. Their plot wasn't too complicated and easy to follow - which is always a good thing. However, I do think that there could've been some more explored with their hunts. They did a good job at the shape-shifting thing, confusing me a little as to who could've been a Zygon, which makes them work. I thought that the Doctor was going to change into a Zygon when the Doctor said "I had a change of mind." but evidently he didn't. I do think they underused it a little though. The Skarasen was way better, considering that they don't have to use a rubbish animatronic and only used the sounds.

Speaking of sounds, the sound design was phenomenal. Using the sound effects from Terror, as well as a Terror-inspired score dropped me back into 1975 (Even though it's 1977) and I thought it was fantastic! The forest felt alive, as did the Zygon ship, and it all felt like I was part of the story.

The side characters were a basic military force, didn't feel any kind of sympathy towards them. Was fairly amusing that they kept calling the Zygons "fetus people", though.

Is this a standout story? Not at all. Is this just a fun romp with some fantastic sound design? Absolutely. This is definitely worth a listen to if you're bored and want something basic to put in. Really enjoyed it.

This was decent, and easily the best of the second half of the series! ...And still only 3.5 stars tbh.

The first half is decent enough set up i guess, but honestly feels mostly superfluous. But the second has some fun discussions about humanity and Zygons learning about it, which I always love in a zygon story! Pretty great performances all round too. I just think the first part holds it down significantly, plus the fact that the plot itself isn't anything new.
