RACHEL: Counter-Measures has proved it has a purpose, but you can't tackle mysteries of this nature with a handful of squaddies and a couple of scientists on loan. This operation needs to be properly funded, properly resourced. We need our own HQ!

TOBY: We, Doctor Jensen?

ALLISON: Rachel?

RACHEL: If you can provide adequate facilities allowing me to continue my work on site, as it were...

TOBY: Ah, I think that can be arranged.

RACHEL: Then yes. Yes, I suppose it would be sensible for me to be involved on a more permanent basis.

ALLISON: Fantastic!

IAN: Welcome aboard, Rachel.

SCHUMANN: Do not resist, Miss Williams.

ALLISON: If it's all the same to you, I think I might. Sorry if I don't hang around!

RACHEL: Someone or something is trying to contact us from whatever lies behind that threshold.

IAN: But what is it?

RACHEL: I don't know. Imagine a universe different from our own; so different all the usual laws of physics don't apply.

IAN: I'm trying, but the closest I'm getting is America.

ALLISON: are you sure this is a good idea?

IAN: When has that ever stopped me?

IAN: Sorry to interrupt your work, Sir Toby.

TOBY: You aren't sorry. And you aren't interrupting. Not my work, anyway.

RACHEL: Is it too much to imagine me having a social life? Wanting to see my friends?

ALLISON: Well... Don't take this the wrong way, but yes. You were always rather wedded to your work.

ALLISON: Thinking energy. That's amazing. If it wasn't trying to kill me, I'd be impressed.
