This is part of a series of reviews of Doctor Who in chronological timeline order. Previous Story: The Corruptions Maybe not the ending I was hoping for, but a solid one nonetheless. This story starts off annoyingly slow but it really picks up in the second half so I won't complain too much. It's a tad disappointing that this is now the third weird alternate/future reality that we've been to in a row, I really hoped they'd change it up a bit for the finale but alas. It just ends up feeling samey when Purity keeps escaping and creating a new "pure" world every time. I'm not sure how much I care for bringing back Khavûl but at the very least I found him miles more interesting in this story than his last. I quite liked the resolution riffing on The War Games but instead of summoning the Time Lords the Doctor summoned the Chronomancers. It was a solid ending and a good way to tie back to Chronomancer. I also like Evelyn's presence looming over this entire run, she's been involved from the start and it's a sweet way to keep the character involved. Next Story: The End of the Line 6, Hebe and Mel Review I've really liked this entire run to be honest. It feels like a very modern and fresh direction for Sixie to go. Ruth Madeley has been brilliant as Hebe throughout and the stories have (on the whole) been very good. I'm not sure what the future of this TARDIS team will be but I really do hope we get to see them again. thedefinitearticle63 View profile Like Liked 0
