Time Lording through time and space, one victory at a time! VICTORY XXIV This story isn’t technically a part of the Time Lord Victorious event, but it tells us what happens to the Tenth Doctor immediately after it and before his regeneration in The End of Time. Robert Napton’s story sheds some light on the Time Agency and its activity. They remove an entire galaxy from existence, which grabs the Doctor’s attention and sends him over to the Agency to shut them down for good. This creates natural tension between the Doctor and the Time Marshal when both sides try to prove why they’re right. The titular Hourglass is a creepy piece of technology that counts probabilities for various events. The back-and-forth between the Doctor, the Agency, and the Hourglass keeps the story flowing at a good pace, especially towards the end when we are literally racing against time. Neve McIntosh does a fine job narrating the story. The energy she gives the Doctor and Helen is superb. Sadly, the other characters are effectively sidelined. Like Liked 1
