Another story that proves Doctor Who was political in the classic series. I think this was a fitting exit for Steven, but like a lot of classic who exits I wish there was a bit more build up. I am really interested in picking up the 1DA story where we meet an older Steven after this story. The supporting characters were quite memorable, and the animation was really lovely! If there was maybe one less part I would've given it at least one extra star. With the fairly obvious morale of the story more and more coming to the fore. The animation doesn’t do much to speed up proceedings, it’s not a very exciting presentation, but it is a definite boost to the visual appeal. Oddly the slow pace might actually suit the telesnaps though - I wonder how I’d feel about the original. 15thDoctor View profile Like Liked 0 27 March 2025 · 196 words Review by RandomJoke 1 Disclaimer: A while ago, I already reviewed the Story. This Review is simply reviewing the Animation rather than the Story, if you are interested to hear I thought about the Story itself, please check out my Review of the Original Variation! I think the Animation is pretty good and does some great Changes, I am not always sold on some creative Liberty Changes that some Animations do, *Fury from the Deep* comes to Mind, but for this one? It works wonderfully! Especially the Place where the Elders live is greatly enhanced here, which adds more to the Story. The Highlight here is easily the superb Character Animation, their Movement is so smooth and never feel off-putting. The Likenesses as well are very good, especially the one from Jackie Lane's Dodo! Hartnell looks a bit 'off' but getting his Likeness right in Animation is a tricky one, which I think only early Animations such as *The Tenth Planet* pulled off the best. I do wish we had some more Lightning like Release such as Evil had, but still all in all, I am very pleased to report that this is a very good Animation of the Story!
