The basic story is very sweet, and it fills a gap which we knew was there, and it’s certainly very Christmassy. I do wonder about the characterisation of The Doctor and Jackie though. The ninth Doctor does seem a little more judgemental and less class conscious than usual. Also… would Jackie Tyler really be into The Stranglers? I just can’t see that for her.
