Previous Story: The Lost Resort

This story gives some great insight into a little piece of history that I had never heard of before, a really solid pure-historical that lightly touches on themes of equality and the treatment of women in the past. Nellie Bly is a unique historical character to explore and I especially enjoyed her interactions with Tegan.

I like the active role the Doctor takes in this story, constantly trying to thwart any saboteurs trying to stop Nellie from succeeding in her goal to go around the world in 80 days. It did bug me how oblivious Nellie was to any of the plans, surely after the third time in one day you'd start being a bit more wary.

All in all, it's not a complex story but it's a welcome change from Daleks and Cybermen. Couple that with a great cast and you've gota neat little story that's managed to teach me some history aswell.
