The plot consists of the team on a planet where the aliens all have a communication network through these masks, and are being oppressed by Makassar. However, the story does a thing that I am not much a fan of, which is where Rose is like 'Look Doctor, isn't it lovely that these aliens are all getting along!' and the Doctor goes 'No, that's suspicious and I don't like them', but then the Doctor turns out to be right. Though the whole race doesn't get branded as evil, I didn't feel that this story did enough to subvert that trope for my liking. sircarolyn View profile Like Liked 0
