In upstate New York, the Doctor is chasing weird energies that should not exist. Teaming up with Alex and Brandon, he discovers a powerful force enslaved to another's will. Who controls the lonely assassin that prowls the streets? What secrets are the residents of Rickman hiding? And will Alex and Brandon survive the night of the Weeping Angels?

Weeping Angles are very visual monsters so I feel that doing a good audio with them is challenging. However, I think this one succeeds. That's because the Angels aren't really the driving force behind the plot: there is a larger mystery, related to the Angels, that is really what creates and maintains the tension. This mystery is engaging and clever. Subtle hints are dropped throughout that makes the final twist and resolution feel relatively natural. The writing itself is engaging and the characters are strong: the Doctor feels like the Doctor and the original characters feel fleshed out and well-rounded.
